there once was a girl with very dark eyes

who took a deep breath and got a suprise

with twists, bends, sweat and tears

she found yoga to tame her fears

she traveled the world

in daydreams she twirled

she became a mama

she learned the yamas,

starting living the niyamas

feelings burning in a bikram class

spine curved back, head on the mat

her heart opened up, with a great big crack

she thought it was a heart attack

but no, just a chakra pop, some baggage to let go

after the shock, after losing some heat,

in millcreek she found jennifer ellens cool beat

diving into a funky flow

vinyasa yoga the way to go.

and now after many years

she can sit still with her fears

move and groove in an intelligent way

she found something for which the heart doesn't pay

intuitive movement, connecting, making her whole

prana, life force of creation, soothing her soul

on Sundays at Kula she holds the space

hoping that others show up at this place.
