Kara's style of yoga is soft, fluid movement allowing time to explore each asana.  Once in an asana you will practice feeling energy moving into all parts of your body. Our breath work will help to move the prana/energy.  When prana begins to flow freely you will experience yourself radiating out from your center, connecting to what feels best for you will assist you in healing and strengthening yourself from the inside out. 

 

Kara received her first yoga certification from Asheville Yoga Center’s 230 hour training. She has since taken 30 hours of Anusara training, has worked privately with Anna Pitman of the Breathing Space and is enrolled in Anna’s 200 hour teacher training beginning this August.  Kara is also attending a 5-day with Angela Farmer this November.

 

Kara has developed a Community Chair Yoga program for both New River Health Association and Marshall University.  She currently travels to corners of Appalachia training leaders to develop successful community chair yoga programs for their senior population.  She has co-opened Fayetteville’s first yoga studio.
