Erin Yakim

Erin first moved to Fayetteville in 1995. She worked for the Forest Service, in Richwood, WV for two years, where she was able to explore her love for the outdoors by being an interpreter.  Trying to find creative ways to make money in Fayetteville, Erin, her then husband, and  another couple opened and ran a restaurant for three years in downtown Fayetteville.

During this time Erin helped to care for her ailing Grandfather and found it difficult to sleep at night. She started doing stretching movements and relaxation techniques which later discovered to be yoga. She read books to expand her knowledge of this amazing resource. Yoga has always played a vital part in her life, especially through  difficult times.

In the Fall of 2008, Erin decided to kick it up a notch. She had been teaching rock climbing and managing Hard Rock Climbing Services for over 8 years (9 in August 2009). She wanted to teach in a through different medium and share her love of yoga.  Erin attended the Fall session of the intensive 200 hour, Yoga Teacher Training Program at the Kripalu Institute in Stockbridge, MA.

On November 21, 2008, Erin graduated as an official Kripalu Yoga Teacher.  It was life changing. Almost immediately after Erin graduated she was offered a position to teach at the Kula Yoga Studio and equally as quick, accepted!

With her love of mornings, Erin will usually be teaching at 7 -8:30 am during the winter and 5:30-7 am or 6-7 am in the summer. Do to her physical and chaotic lifestyle/schedule, she will be focusing mostly on fundamental yoga and yin yoga.
